    Air Haifa Expands Its Reach

Air Haifa, the first airline based in Northern Israel, has made an exciting announcement – the launch of direct flights from Haifa International Airport to Athens, Greece. With fares starting as low as $149, this initiative further extends the airline’s international service network.

    Flight Schedule and Fleet

The new route will offer flights five times a week, departing Haifa at 09:00 on Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, and arriving in Athens at 11:55. Return flights are scheduled to leave Athens at 12:55 and arrive back in Haifa at 15:45. These flights will be operated with the airline’s latest ATR 72-600 aircraft, showcasing the youngest fleet in Israel.

    Why It Matters

    Strengthening Connections Beyond Israel

Gonen Usishkin, Co-founder and CEO of Air Haifa, emphasized the significance of this new route: “The launch of the Athens route is a critical step in expanding our international flight destinations and cementing Haifa Airport’s role as an international gateway within the Mediterranean Basin. After successfully establishing flights to Eilat and Larnaca, we’re thrilled to offer northern Israel residents more travel options while widening our reach.”

    Israel’s Aviation Growth

The introduction of flights to Athens underscores Air Haifa’s commitment to enlarging their passenger service—it reflects Israel’s burgeoning aviation industry and its dedication to facilitating connectivity between Israel and key Mediterranean locales. This development not only serves local travelers but also strengthens economic and cultural ties within the region, reinforcing Israel’s strategic importance.
