What happened
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) successfully neutralized Abbas Adnan Moslem, the commander of Hezbollah’s Radwan force in the Aitaroun area of southern Lebanon. Moslem was responsible for orchestrating terror activities aimed at northern Israel and targeting IDF troops.
Why it matters
This operation represents a significant victory for Israeli security as the IDF continues to stave off threats along its northern borders. Moslem’s removal disrupts Hezbollah’s command structure and weakens its operational capabilities against Israel.
Additional military actions
Throughout the past 24 hours, IDF troops have taken remarkable steps in degrading Hezbollah’s terror capabilities. The 146th Division successfully struck approximately 50 pieces of terror infrastructure. Meanwhile, soldiers from the 98th Division effectively eliminated terrorists who were plotting ambushes, and located and destroyed a Kornet missile launcher poised for action.
Successful air strikes
The Israeli Air Force (IAF) has been instrumental, striking around 200 Hezbollah terror targets in Lebanon, further weakening the organization’s strength and crippling its military infrastructure.
Operations in the Gaza Strip
Turning their attention towards threats in Gaza, IDF troops neutralized dangerous terrorists near a car bomb in the northern town of Jabalya. Operations in central Gaza by the 252 Division included targeted raids that dismantled Hamas terror networks. In southern Gaza, Israeli forces, supported by the IAF, obliterated terror infrastructure and eliminated threats effectively.
