Meet the 25 Most Influential Young Zionists of 2024

    Published on

    What it is about

In a year marked by significant challenges and changes, the Jerusalem Post and Jewish National Fund-USA are acknowledging the next generation of Jewish leaders by naming the 25 most influential young Zionists of 2024.

    Why it matters

Despite anti-Israel protests, antisemitism, and campus disturbances, the Jewish community has experienced an unprecedented surge in pride for Israel. This has resulted in many previously quiet supporters emerging as proud Zionists, thus strengthening the pro-Israel movement during a tumultuous time.

    The Bigger Picture

For the second year in a row, Jewish National Fund-USA and the Jerusalem Post are celebrating whom they call “ViZionaries”—young, bold, and creative Zionist leaders under 45. “The Jerusalem Post is excited to honor and highlight young Zionist changemakers,” said Editor-in-Chief Zvika Klein. He added that these individuals positively impact Israel’s future and instill confidence in the community.

    Prominent Figures

Figures like Shai Davidai, Michael Rapaport, and Emily Austin stand out in the pro-Israel movement. Davidai, a Columbia University professor, actively combats antisemitism on college campuses in the US. Rapaport, a well-known American actor, has become an outspoken advocate for Israel in Hollywood. Austin, with over 2.2 million social media followers, uses her platform to advocate against antisemitism and support Israel.

    Call to Action

Nominations for this list are open until September 10, 11.59 US ET, and accept Zionists worldwide under the age of 45. The nominations celebrate a future where young Zionist leaders take charge, continue Herzl’s dream, and pave new ways of impactful communication. “This is their moment; this is their time,” said JNF-USA CEO Russell Robinson.

    What’s Next

Exemplary leaders, such as those selected as “ViZionaries,” will speak at the Jewish National Fund-USA’s Global Conference for Israel, further inspiring and leading the Zionist movement. This conference, taking place from November 14-17 in Dallas, serves as a key assembly for young Zionist advocacy.
